EN 60204-1 is one of the key machinery safety standards, being a B-type Harmonised standard for the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. It applies to electrical, electronic and programmable electronic equipment and systems within non-portable machines designed to operate in conjunction with other machinery. BS EN 60204-1 gives specific instructions for the safe maintenance of the point where electrical or electronic equipment connects to the machine.
